The Division of Business seeks to prepare undergraduate and graduate students for successful leadership positions in small and large businesses in the private sector, and for positions in public and non-profit organizations. Its goal is to provide professional business education in an environment of respect for the importance of both Jesuit ideals and the liberal arts tradition.
-Mission Statement

The Division of Business is housed in Yenni Hall on the campus. The building is a completely rebuilt historic structure containing the latest in educational technology. It comprises the north side of the newly landscaped Yenni Yard and is a focal point of campus life.

The Division of Business offers a Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in business administration with concentrations in the following areas: accounting, economics and finance, computer information systems, international business, and management and marketing.  The lower and upper division business requirements impart to all students a broad-based, principles-level exposure to each of the functional areas, after which each student selects one area as a concentration for more in-depth study.  The faculty believes that the business sector of American society is a vital set of institutions and that, consistent with the Jesuit ideals of the College, our students should be prepared to make a positive contribution to these institutions and to society in general.  Accordingly, business concentrations aim to impart knowledge in accordance with liberal arts ideals and to communicate to students appropriate principles of ethical professional and social behavior.

Spring Hill business graduates are exceptionally well trained to deal with the issues that they will face in today’s changing, dynamic, global environment.  Students are highly competitive compared to other institutions. Spring Hill business students have scored above the 70th percentile in a national, comprehensive business examination. In addition, Accounting graduates historically perform above the national average on the CPA exam. MBA students have scored above the 70th percentile on a national MBA examination.

The Division of Business is nationally accredited by the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs. The Division also hosts both the national honor society Delta Mu Delta for business majors and the national economics honor society, ODE, membership by invitation.
