Areas of Interest:
Dr. Piafsky specializes in creative writing and late 20th century American literature. He is particularly interested in the work of Ann Beattie, Raymond Carver and John Updike. His current projects include a Creative Nonfiction anthology as well as a novel and collection of short stories.
Recent Publications:
As an editor of The Missouri Review, Dr. Piafsky contributed numerous book reviews and editorials to TMR, as well as interviews with Chuck Klosterman, Jon Stewart and the writers of America, AM Homes and Penelope Lively. He has also published stories in The Jaberwock Review, Meridian, Bar Stories and h-ngm-n.com.
