Areas of Interest:
Dr. Almquist specializes in postcolonial literatures and theories, with a particular interest in literatures of the African Diaspora.  His additional interests include 20th-century world literatures and 20th-century American literature.  

Presentations and Publications:
Dr. Almquist has published in Callaloo and has contributed several book reviews to the North Dakota Quarterly.  He has also presented his work at a number of national and regional conferences.?
