Rev. Marvin Kitten, S.J.

Marvin was born on a cotton farm in Lubbock county, Texas on March 13, 1931.  After attending Cooper Rural High School, he enrolled at Texas Tech University, majoring in Theoretical Mathematics. After working for Geophysical Service for a year, he entered the Jesuit novitiate in Grand Coteau, LA. He was ordained on June 7, 1965, in St. Joseph’s Church in Mobile.  His first assignment was at Jesuit High School in Dallas, TX.  After twelve years there, he moved to Strake Jesuit in Houston for six years before moving to College Station TX to help with Campus Ministry at Texas A&M for five years. Marvin next served as the Vocation Director from 1991 to the end of 2007.  After a semester sabbatical in 2008, he was assigned to help with campus ministry at Spring Hill College where he currently resides.
