Philosophy talks with the a new member of Spring Hill: Dr. Ferry

Dr. Michael Ferry

Michael Ferry

Ferry says: “Since philosophy is often learned best through active student involvement and dialogue, I was very much attracted to the size of Spring Hill College, which reflects a commitment to maintaining small classes and a close-knit campus community.  A number of my courses deal with issues of justice and poverty, and so I was also attracted to the college’s Jesuit tradition and, in particular, its emphasis on the importance of service to the broader community. Importantly, the college also recognizes the value of philosophy in its core curriculum.”
